Descendents of Ancient Egypt
The Liddle/Stephenson’s are potentially direct descendents of Ancient Egyptians. According to many historians. Some Ancient Egyptians fled Egypt when the Greeks occupied it and became travellers. The liddle/stephensons ancestors ended up in Italy. It is believed if this is true, that the Egyptian-Italians would possibly remained in Italy for some time and become Italian Gypsies.
Gypsies are believed to be the descendents of the Egyptians that fled Egypt. It is thought this because Gypsies have more resemblance to Ancient Egyptians ways than any other civilisation. Like the Ancient Egyptians,; Gypsies liked horse racing, songs, stories and have a reputation for Curses and Spells like the Ancient Egyptians.
I believe it is safe to say that the possible history of the liddle/stephensons, goes something similar to this. A Ancient Egyptians family or possibly a Ancient Egyptian person, left Egypt when the Greeks took control. After some time of travelling the ancient Egyptian family/person ended up in Italy or the descendents ended up in Italy. The ancient Egyptians descendents stayed in Italy for some time. Starting out as Egyptian-Italians and then becoming Italian Gypsies. Their descendents ended up leaving Italy and after some time ended up in Ireland. Now they were a kind of Irish-Italian Gypsies. They would later end up in the North-east of England where some would settle for a normal northern English life.
By 20th century the family name was Stephenson. John A.K.A Danny Stephenson would marry Anne Gordon and have six children. Their grandchildren would be Stephenson, Liddle, Smith and Langley. This large family would be based in the north-east of England but mainly in the Newcastle-Upon-Tyne City area. They would be the potential decedents of Ancient Egyptians.
